B. N. M. Institute of Technology (BMNIT), Bangalore was established in 2001 under B.N.M Educational Institutions. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technical University, Belgaum and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. BNMIT has provided excellent, experienced and dedicated faculty members who are its pillars of strength. LIBRARY

The BNMIT Library & Information Centre is presently housed in the Auditorium Building with an adequate space to house the Circulation & Digital Library Section in Ground Floor and Reference & Technical Journals Section in 3rd Floor with a seating capacity of 150 members at a time. The Central Library as well as MBA Department Library which is housed in 1st Floor has total document collections of over 36,130 Volumes of reference and textbooks with 8,713 distinct titles. The Library & Information Centre subscribes to over 112 National and more than 31 internationally acclaimed print Journals covering of all branches of Engineering and Management programme as well. Besides this, it has over 1450 bound volumes, 1325 learning CD-ROMS, several Data Books, Project Reports, Micro documents, etc.,

HOSTELS

The boys hostel located close to the institution is well equipped to accommodate about 150 students with facilities like home away from home. All the students are provided with a Study Table, a Chair, a Cot and a Cup-board for comfortable stay and studies. The mess is well equipped with stainless steel kitchen equipments and other facilities. A residential warden stays at the hostel to take care of the needs of the students all the time. A 24 hours security is provided at the hostel for the safety of the students.The girls hostel located in the campus is well equipped to accommodate about 150 students with facilities like home away from home. BNMIT campus houses a hygienically maintained canteen in picturesque surroundings serving food to students through the day apart from catering at cultural and other congregations in the campus.

PLACEMENT OVERVIEW

The Department of Training and Placement of BNMIT is an active centre throbbing with various activities all through the year.  The institute has complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the department. A well organized Placement Department is working with a fulltime Director who continuously monitors the employment potentials and arranges the campus placements for the students. The faculty and student coordinators from all the departments also support the smooth running of the placement process.

The Placement Department establishes contact with various industries to find out their requirement of manpower and invites them for campus recruitment process.

Almost hundred percent students are placed in reputed companies each year. The package for the present batch varies between Rs. 3 lakhs and Rs. 16 lakhs  per annum.

SCHOLARSHIP:-

• All students joining BNMIT, with Ranks under 1000 in CET will be awarded a merit scholarship of Rs.25,000/-
• All students joining BNMIT, with Ranks under 3000 in COMED-K will be awarded a merit scholarship of Rs.10,000/-
• Students with more than 60% in PCM and represented Karnataka at National level in Sports are awarded Rs. 25,000/-
• Students with more than 60% in PCM and represented Karnataka at International level in Sports are awarded Rs. 50,000/-
• T. Rama Rao Memorial Scholarship of Rs.10,000 for student with best CET rank in General Merit Rural / Kannada Medium Category.
